While the ART 87 is not an express bus to Pentagon City, it will go in a much more direct route. There are several available stops in the Pentagon City area.
ART 87 Pentagon Metro-Army Navy Drive-Shirlington. New route begins June 29, 2009. ART 87 will replace the current ART 82 and Metrobus 22B service to form a new, slightly modified route.

Going to the organ concert at the National Cathedral at 11am on Saturday.(free)
This will be great for getting back to Shirlington from some Pentagon City or Pentagon Row shopping on the way home from work!
I never wanted to do that because I hated to have to double back to the Pentagon and then wait forever for a late bus back.
The new paper and gifts store will be great too. Life around here keeps getting better!
I took the new bus the other day and was greatly dissapointed. It felt like it took forever to get home; really not much of an improvement on the 82.
