Last week Arlnow reported that " a restaurant called Native Foods Cafe has registered for a license to serve beer and wine. The license seems to suggest the restaurant will be in Shirlington, in the old Bear Rock Cafe space." It was confirmed yesterday by Shirlington Super Sleuths that Native Foods will indeed be taking over that space.

This is exciting! When I drove past the site yesterday I noticed that there was activity going on inside the building.
Wow! This is so cool.
It will be nice to have that spot active again. There will certainly be a lot of choices for vegans in Shirlington Village. Busboys & Poets has a number of vegan options on their menu also.
interesting.......I'm not a vegetarian but I'll give them a shot...
Any word on what's going in the old Books-a-Million location? PLEASE not another Hair/Nail Salon!!!
Now the word on the street is that the vegan restaurant is not coming to Shirlington. Regarding the old Books-A-Million spot, word on the street is that there will be some sort day spa. I haven't heard if there will be hair-nail services. You have to remember that whatever businesses go in, they have to be able to make money.
